I think you guys have discussed this before ..anyway my dealer has one slot for Feb production but now he said to me is too late to put in my order there (extras) and accomodate an earlier delivery. Thats means mine be produced in March. Is this accurate? Maybe my dealer just wants to have his stock car before mine arrives.....waddayathink? ..... 40-50 days till Feb production...not enough? HELP ....... COCO
With the factories shuttered until the new year, you are looking at less than 30 days to February production dates. They have to make the stuff you want on your Cayman in Stuttgart and then truck/ship it to Finland for just-in-time final assembly, so given the many schedules involved, and from my own experience in my order, a March date for custom orders at this time this seems about right.
I posted my order a couple of weeks ago and am looking at a late Feb. production as well. Seems reasonable. At the time, my salesman said he had a Jan slot open up and asked if I was interested. I hesitated a couple of days then asked if it was still available. He said that it turned out it would not have worked anyway. I would not have been able to configure the car they way I wanted it.
