Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I looked at pic of the car in an ad and it looks the same as a C2. So this is a C2S ? What's the S for? Thanks in advance. KJ karljay.com/cars my 2002 M3 SMG - 19" rims, 8000k HIDs, Formula One tints, Naxxos fogs 2000 Boxster S - B&M Short Shifter, Naxxos Xenons

POST 2Original post

I think the S stands for "Super" or "Sport". The last C2S produced by Porsche was in the 993 body style (production ended in 98). For the 996, the a C4S was produced starting as a 2002 model. A 1999 Carrera S... sounds like someone took a little creative licence.

POST 4Original post

The only 996S I'm aware of is the kind that I have...a Duck

POST 5Original post

If you are refering to the car on E-Bay. The S stands for silver. That is silver in color. Should not be in the title description. Guess he wanted to get undue attention. Walt

POST 7Original post

could it have possibly been a "tiptronic S"? that is how a 99 tip car would be listed on the window sticker
