Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have both ignition keys with buttons for my car, but for completeness' sake I would like all three, inc the little thin key with no remote functions... Anyone ever replaced one? Are they £ ?

POST 2Original post

Good Q Rob. Mine is missing too and upsets my OCD. Does the 9x6 key have the transponder unit in? Is it a single-piece plastic key - i.e. will it need cutting to the lock and coding to immobiliser?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It is the flat plastic key...I imagine it would need a transponder coded. I shall ring the OPC and report.

POST 4Original post

Ask the OPC to supply a valet key for your car .. it will take a few weeks . valet key has a transponder chip in it .. it will need coding to the car .
