Going to look at a 991.2 today just wondering whether OPC’s are negotiating on the screen price. What are people’s recent experiences if any? Thanks in advance

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

When I was in OPC South London a month or so ago I did ask if there was any negotiation on the price. The guy I spoke to said (politely) the price IS the price. So probably not. But I guess it depends on how long they have had the car.

Depends on the exact 911 model and supply of decent stock together with how long they have had it in stock. Some OPCs overprice their cars more open to bids others don't and the screen price is what you pay. Other cars are SOR so its largely the owners call what the sale price is. Other factor is how much you want that particular car and the probability of another one coming up for sale.
It's the end of the quarter next week. Make it clear that you definitely plan to buy a 911 in the coming days, and are currently talking with 2-3 dealers re 2-3 cars that have taken your fancy. They then might engage in a discussion either immediately or they'll call you back in a few days. The key thing is making them know you're serious about buying something imminently, but have options. Not sure you'll get a ton off, but maybe a couple of grand plus some GAP insurance
Just closed the deal I managed to get something off but to be fair the car ticked all the boxes for me..
