Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

 Yep, yesterday was my 40th birthday & also the day I sold my dream car. What happened to the life begins stuff??? I feel like it has endded! Oh well, just to let you know the new owner, Tim was vetted, already a Porsche owner (Boxster, which I have taken in PX) he seems a very nice chap who will look after and cherish her. I have of course introduced him to the world of 911UK and eagerly await his posts / comments. I will still be coming online regular so don't worry... I want to try and hang on to the Boxster as long as possible, her indoors is already digging nails in saying 'don't get thinking you are keeping that car, you need a proper 4 - seater' - Any tips on what I can do to convince her to let me keep a Porsche?

POST 2Original post

You would have had a better chance with the 996 Llyod. At least it was a 4 seater  On a serious note...Happy b-day & sorry to hear the 996 has gone. re the Boxtser, can't you keep that as a weekend car & get a cheaper 4 seater that will do the job with the family etc? Pics of the Box? :thumb:

POST 3Original post

Happy birthday lloyd :birthday: From now on, whenever wifey asks you what you want for Xmas/birthday etc just say a Porshe 911 8) TB

POST 4Original post

Happyt Birthdy but sad to hear you've lost your car...as said the Boxster should have been giving the boot being a 2 seater...unless you can do a Lloyd Six Boxster conversion :thumb:

POST 7Original post

Happy Birthday!! You young person. Is it any consolation to know that I got my 996 shortly after my 45th, so in one sense you were already ahead of the game? No, I guess not. Good to know you will still be in the forum, and I look forward to seeing the post when you get your next 911. Just a matter of time...

POST 8Original post

Happy Birthday Lloyd :birthday: I bought my first Porsche for my 40th birthday last month and I haven't stopped grinning yet!! So I feel your loss!! On a brighter note I hope you have a very pleasant day.

POST 9Original post

Happy Birthday Lloyd Six  Let's just say your current 911 has gone, until next time :salut:

POST 10Original post

Weeellll... (ahem) - are you sure you really love your wife? You're still relatively young. You could get a different one. One who likes Porsches more. And doesn't want to fundamentally change you and your lifestyle. Maybe suggest you've figured out you could live reasonably comfortably, pay the absent father child support and still have a 997 C2? And there is this flat above a large garage/workshop that would be perfect for that 1972 RS resurrection project or.. <insert own favourite project you may have mentioned before and might have been heard above the handbags and babies filter.> Either way - absent or victorious - dad with Porsche is going to be cooler than dad with child barge. Dropping off and collecting from school. "Don't tell your mother, but that was 130 back there." Get him/her/them to six and they'll cry even more than you if anyone suggests loosing the Porsche (you may have to suffer it being given a cute name - Ermentrude or something.) Strategy. You're being manipulated. Fight back man!

POST 12Original post

As someone who knows JRR1967 I would suggest taking his views with a bucket of salt. He is / was / and always will be single. But that is a good thing as he should not be allowed to breed. As an alternative plan, you could get SWMBO to agree to you selling the Boxster, getting a really cheap family runaround and putting a sizeable lump sum into the 'Porsche account' every month. Once junior is out of nappies you could then get another 911 - job done :thumb: And happy birthday

POST 13Original post

Its Tim Here!!! thanks for the kind words, was good to finally meet you yesterday. I've not been on here for a while but very excited to be continuing the journey where you left off!! Is it wrong that i didnt't sleep last night thinking about the car and what number plate I will bless her with???? :sleepy:
