Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

can people tell me if this is a good idea or not? do they chip easily? i've seen some done and they look much cleaner. but the body shop was a little hesitant in their acknowledgement of the request. thanks.

POST 2Original post

check out bumperplugs.com they paint some nice ones. I would trust them since they seem to be very experienced at doing these type of custom jobs.

POST 3Original post

Thanks for the endorsement! kfong, email me directly with any questions, glad to help. [email removed]

POST 4Original post

kfong, definitely send them to Eric, one of the best mods you can do for your car, and one of the nicest guys to deal with. (I'm the proud owner of painted bumperettes on the Lapis Blue turbo on Eric's website!)

POST 5Original post

Am I the only on who recently noticed that the rear bumperettes are color matched on the regular 996s, but black on all c4s? I wonder why?

POST 6Original post

Have you noticed that the twin pipe sport exhaust tips are different too? On the C2 I believe the outer circle is complete and the inner is 1/2 moon and the reverse is true on the C4S (although I may have these backwards off the top of my head), I pointed that out to my wife last night at the dealership. I suppose on a black car the bumperettes are color matched.

POST 7Original post

Eric does a great job. I inquired at a local body shop about having them painted and to do it right, the way Eric does, it would have cost twice as much. My son scraped one of mine learning to ride his bike (I know I should've shut the garage). I was surprised at how thick the paint was, I was able to just about buff all of it out. <img src="http://members.rennlist.com/robinwa/Bumperettes.jpg" alt=" - " />
