Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

When driving with the sun on the drivers side I find the visor too small to block out the sun. It needs an extension. I have an 06 CS. Has this been corrected in the 07? Any aftermarket visors available?

POST 2Original post

Out here in the sunny southwest it is a problem. You aren't alone: http://www.planet-9.com/showthread.php?t=1396&highlight=sun Maybe there is an answer by now.

POST 3Original post

only answer i can think of is to put on some darker shades or raise the seats

POST 4Original post

Yes, wear darker sunglasses. I love my Ray Bans.

POST 5Original post

i was just thinking of this problem yesterday. it should have been so easy to just make the visor slide out from the rod, like a lot of japanese cars (toyota, lexus and acura). when you are tall and sit far back from the wheel this is a problem. they make the car to fit tall people so well you'd think this would have been addressed. the only solution i've found is sitting as straight up as possible.

POST 6Original post

Two questions arising: (1) Is anyone in the six foot (183cm) tall club having this problem? (2) Are the leather visors the same dimensions as the vinyl ones, therefore just as inadequate in the sunrise/sunset scenario?

POST 7Original post

Wow, negative reaction time! You posted the (unfortunate) answer to my first question before I posted it, but after I'd started posting my question.

POST 8Original post

Well, I'm 6'4" and if I put the visor down (and my seat is all the way down) I can't even see the road... So it's not a problem for me!

POST 10Original post

1. 6'4" (193 cm) 2. Yes, they're the same. 3. But like DocBeaker; they're fine with me. 4. You could add a dark tint strip along the top of the windshield - not my cup o' tea , but it's done regularly.
