Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

When i exceed speeds of about 110 MPH (not very frequently done on public roads) I am hearing a flapping noise that sounds like perhaps the plastic under the wipers bouncing around anyone else hearing this noise or had it fixed

POST 2Original post

...it is your toungue...we know the car is sweet but you gotta put your toungue back in your mouth at those speeds!

POST 3Original post

I get this noise too and have traced the source to my wife...."slow down...mind that....slow down...etc etc)

POST 5Original post

I too get a flapping noise at high speeds and I suspect it is because I de-snorked by just simply removing the restrictor plate. The intake tube is not held in place this way, and moves a little.

POST 6Original post

The intake tube is held in place by the rubber fitting that is press fit in with the hex shaped collar piece so I doubt this is the source. I had a similar sound from underneath my car when new and it was just a nut on the plastic pieces on the bottom of the car was not tight enough. Get your car up on a lift and have it checked.

POST 7Original post

Thanks for the advice. I will check the underside of the car soon and post if I find anything.

POST 8Original post

i have that problem, i think the source of the sound is the side mirros , atleast thats the problem for me

POST 9Original post

Are the windows open? If I drive at speed with the windows open the luggage cover will flap.

POST 10Original post

I almost pee'd myself with mex99's comment! Good one!!

POST 11Original post

I have that same noise! And I agree, it sounds like its coming from one of the plastic pieces below the wipers under the hood...
