*This has happened a few times* When I go to turn on my car, it cranks and cranks but will not turn over. If I hold it for a good 20+ seconds it will sometimes turn over. However, when it does turn over it will puff black smoke from the rear, hold rev's at 2k, and will sometimes stall out. any ideas? before i take her to the dealer?
Do you have a manual or tiptronic? Do you park on a hill? Sometimes my car takes longer to crank than others, bout 6-8 turn overs instead of the usual 2-3 but it never stalls out once it starts. I do get the puff of smoke, that's just oil going into the cylinders.
manual. 5 speed. It has happened to be on a hill and flat ground. any other guesses?
This has happend to me 3 times in the 6 weeks I have owned my 2008 CS. Last time it happend I was parked on a steep hill and it took about 4 trys untill it finally turned over. They dealer told me if it happens again bring it in. Of course it hasnt happend in about a week and a half. Never has stalled.... Very embarassing when you have a group of people watching you get into your beautiful new Porsche that dosnt start!
