Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They're out. I don't remember them being released this early in the last few years, so maby they'll start production earlier this year. Took a quick look at the C2 coupe, and noticed the following changes: --twin exhaust pipes standard--I guess like those we've seen in spy pix --18" GT3 wheels option --18" sport techno wheel option --key pouch in interior leather w/ embossed Porsche crest--back in 1989, I got this for free, now it's an option!!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I checked the 2003 order guide, and it also said twin exhaust pipes standard, so I guess "twin" means dual exhaust, not the ones we've seen in spy pix.

POST 5Original post

Any updates to this? Are the 2004 order guides available? Any other noted differences from 2003?

POST 6Original post

What was the first year that Porsche offered dual exhausts (as an option)?

POST 7Original post

"Twin exhaust pipes" means one on each side. The same as what's been standard all along. If you look at the older order guides, you'll see that the 996 always had "twin exhaust pipes." Also, the X54 option is still on the 2004 order guides.

Porsche went with twin exhausts with the 993 back in 1994. The 964 still had one pipe on the right.

I don't see C4S Cabrio, or Turbo Cabrio. Weren't they supposed to go on sale as '04s?

Here's part of my posting from 5/8/03 re: Preliminary '04 C2 Coupe Order Guide: GT3 or Sport Techno wheels Ceramic composite brakes Porsche crest on storage bin cover Key pouch in int leather Thicker steering wheel Brake calipers in red, silver, or yellow Electric sports seats Model designation painted ext color Instrument dials in spd yellow, gds red, or white And lots more bits done up in leather, carbon, aluminum, wood, or exterior color... Dunno if that's still all current. I'm also a bit curious as to standard equip changes. -DT
