Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

First my confession, I was looking for a 993 tt for about 6 months (you know, the water cool, the "true" porsche, blah! blah! blah!). Test drove a 2003 c4s thursday, felt unbelivable, i had the car in my garage this saturday, and it had been an amazing wknd. Hope i am forgiven for my sinful 6 months. Anyhow, I had been talking to my local dealer about the 996tt, and the GT3. I had seen a c4s for the past 4 weeks, loved the look, but, for some reason didn't look in to it much. Last thursday after work i wanted to check this silver/black c4s, and as i was looking at it, the manager came out and wondered whether i wanted it and that he can give me a good deal, rest is history. I could not believe how well the car drove, and bought it the next day, and also was able to get the price dropped by $6,000 (Is this typical, I never heard of it for a brand new vehicle). Anyhow, I am just having a blast, the ride and handling is out of this world. Feels woderful to be part of the 996 board.

Jeeva, Congratulations and welcome to the family. It sounds like you got a great deal. I ordered my C4S in late January and picked it up last month. All I can say is, What a car!! I was able to work a $3500 discount on an ordered car so your deal sounds better than mine!

POST 3Original post

The discount sounds about right. Iam looking into c4 cabs. The discount seems to be in 3-7k range for soft c2's. So i think you done good. steve

POST 4Original post

POST 5Original post

welcome to the club. my is also silver/black. post some pix.

POST 6Original post

Month end, good timing made a difference I bet. If there were options beyond the C4S package there was some extra fat there to play with, too. 993tt is a great car, but a C4S under warranty will be a lot cheaper to run.
