Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

VAG suffered greatly with this 99 to 03 models. You can buy an in-line suppressor, the VAG type were best, they were like a 2" Silver tube and had a Blue wire that went to an ignition live off the back of the head unit. Simple to fit piggy back design I may even have one some where in my shed!
