Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thought I'd post the result of todays rolling road result for my 2003 carrera 4, 3.6 manual. 1st time I had dynoed a car and very happy with the result. As I live in Cambridge the closest was revivals at Thriplow near Royston, SG87RN. Can recommend them as they took great care and explained everything very thoroughly. Shame I didn't take a photo or video of the car on the 4 wheel rolling road. Their website is www.revivals59.com Cost a very reasonable £45. Took about 1 hour all up with 3 runs. Car strapped in and warmed up. Large cooling fan in front and ducting in back for exhaust. Diagnostics attached to electrics to measure rpm. The run that I have taken a photo of was the best which was done in 5th gear. Got some wheel spin in 4th. 3rd line down is the wheel output, drag output calculated on 4th green line on decel phase and the final engine output ( 2nd line )calculated. Top line is torque in lbf-ft. Happy with result as peak BHP 317 hp ( totally standard engine ) , pretty linear and peak around 6500 rpm. Peak torque 245 lbf-ft, which works out to 335 NM peak at 6350 rpm. On other runs very similar results. Not sure why torque a but down from Porsche original 370 NM. No current plans for mods but may change to a sportier exhaust. Had some other cars tested around same time as me , a BMW M3, Subaru WRX , Aston DB9 and Focus RS and I was the happiest owner as they all read about 20% less than original manufacturers claims. Maybe Porsche bhp a better class of BHP !!!
