When activating my alarm it has now decided to give me the 2 short horn bleeps which according to the manual tells me there is a problem. The doors lock and unlock as normal. Ive locked the doors with windows open, waited then waved my arm around inside the car.As expected the alarm activates. The only problem I have noticed is the door lock rocker switch inside the car remains lit red at times even when the engine is running and the doors are unlocked. Also at times the rocker switch will not lock the doors. Before I book into my local Porsche dealer who will no doubt charge me £125 an hour to investigate, just wondered if you guys have any ideas ? Would the system report this fault even if it is just the rocker switch or is it indeed a little more sinister ?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Can't offer much help I'm afraid, other than to say that it should store the fault codes in the control module, so it should be straightforward for the fault to be identified.
This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
