Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So, two months into the ownership of my C2 and loving it every time I drive it. The car presently has aero sideskirts and I am thinking of adding a lip to the front bumper. I've seen one on a mk2 listed on Autotrader in the attached picture. Any idea what type of lip it is and where I might be able to buy it. I did try design 911 for a similar one but they said it wouldn't fit the facelift 996.

POST 2Original post

I have this one on mine. You need the GT3 aero front PU. If I remember in the morning I will get the part number off it. You might need to PM me to remind me. There are several of them scattered around Europe after my many 911UK euro trips.

POST 3Original post

Just to hijack this thread for a moment, if you don't mind I have a 996 MKI with the 'fried egg' style headlights and standard front PU. Is there any front spoiler or splitter that will fit onto this PU???

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I wish I could help mate, but I have no idea I'm afraid. Very new to 911 ownership

POST 5Original post

The was a porsche cup splitter that fits the 996.1 gt3 pu. But it looks *****, it only goes over the middle 2/3

POST 6Original post

I think the 996.2 GT3 splitter will fit a 996.1 too

POST 7Original post

But you do need the GT3 aero front PU. The splitter part number is 996 505 986 91
