Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Have often wondered why Porsches don't switch on the rear lights together with the front LED DRLs like its other German brethren - BMW, Audi and Mercedes. Especially when the 991s have IMHO a gorgeous rear light signature. Can the control unit be programmed to switch them on too along with the front DRLs?

POST 2Original post

A simple diode from a DRL socket/circuit/wire to the rear tail lights will do that.

POST 3Original post

Unfortunately I can't do that here because it would void the warranty. Heck, even changing to aftermarket wheels or adding a bodykit would void the warranty. I was hoping that the rear lights could be enabled via software so that way I can persuade the dealership to do it within warranty. Any idea if it can be done?
