Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have read a few blurbs on AutoSpies about 03 Porsche production being cut back (which is apparently true). In the last issue, the speculation was that the 04s will come out as early as June / July of 2003. Given that there are likely minimal, if any changes, it seams like Porsche is pulling a fast one and calling an 03 and 04 on a shorter time table. So, is this really production reduction or a way to get mid - late year buyers to pony up for a full priced 04?

POST 2Original post

If true it's probably an attempt at both, Wiedieking said he would decrease production rather than lower prices or do dealer incentive programs. But,he can't send everyone home from the factory until the inventory of unsold vehicles is manageable, so build '04's. Clever guy, clever idea. <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />
