I live out here, but I don't have a 996; what is it you are needing to check out, specifically? You are trying to listen to a particular sound the exhaust makes? A pitch? Or? You could always go to a dealer, and listen to their cars there, if no one posts here. Good luck, - Julie

yellowbmr, Unfortunately I can't help you (living in NorCal) but keep trying as I can't overstate the value of hearing the exhausts in person (versus sound files). To me, the analogy was what it would be like to see a picture of the Grand Canyon and then see it in person. I haven't (yet!) bought the exhaust I've decided upon but was able to sync up with some very nice fellow rennlisters who were more than happy to show off theirs. Good luck.
