I have a 2003 carrera 4 manual and am keen to have a more bassy exhaust. Am thinking of getting a muffler with bypass tube welded to give more sportier note. Can't afford the £4030 my Cambridge OPC are asking for a switchable system. Have seen some on eBay and plan is also to keep original muffler to switch back if selling in future I am however planning some trackdays, nearest for me either Bedford 101dB and Rockingham 105 dB limit. Would I be ok with the bypass system? Or would I not pass the static and drive by sound meter[/quote]

You'll be fine, infact considerably under even at Castle Combe & Donnington.
