My C4 cab has turbo twists on it now, and I am considering swapping out for the MY02 18" Carrera wheels. Are the Carreras lighter than the turbos? Are they any other advantages/ disadvantages to either wheel?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

If your car is an '01 and they came with the car, they are likely to be solid. If that is the case, the new 18" Carrera wheels are much lighter. Turbo Look I wheels: 7.5" x 18" = 24.91 lbs. 10" x 18" = 29.32 lbs. 18" Carrera wheels: 8" x 18" = 20.50 lbs. 10" x 18" = 22.70 lbs.
Viken, You rock! How would I tell if I have hollow spokes. I'm not the orig owner, so don't know if they are the original wheels.

Solid spokes: Rubber valve stem AND ribbed spoke backs.
