canvas/mohair whatever you want to call it. porsche never put vinyl roof on the drop tops AFAIK. if your roof looks/feels like material then its canvas/mohair or whatever you want to call it; lasts ages and looks good. vinyl is what the mk1 MX5 pop-up headlight models mostly came with; its a plastic sort of material thats cheaper but does not wear well and looks a bit cheap.
