I'm curious if anyone has experience driving their 987 on dirt roads. I'm considering moving my CS to our place in the Colorado mountains, where I now spend much of my time. Our location is about 5 miles from the closest pavement and while the dirt roads are relatively well maintained by the county, there are some sections that are washboard (intentional) as well as the occasional rutting / potholes (especially after rain). Also, our driveway is gravel, with some steep sections of 8-10% grade; the garage is about 100' from the road and house is another 100' up the drive. My car has around 31k, is on 18s and does not have PASM, and is in relatively good shape but with typical rock chip damage . Beyond take it slow and leave ample following distance, any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

all I can think of is Safari Cayman......
I live in northern VT. Dirt roads a a big part of life here. I do not take my Cayman on them. However I have done a fair amount of driving on them in a 12 year of Volvo XC70. It is by design a fairly rugged car. Suspension, drive train etc. Let me tell you this..........even driving carefully, avoiding holes etc as much as possible, keeping speed down............these roads have beat the crap out of the Volvo. I would be quite reluctant to drive my Cayman on them on a regular basis. No matter how slow and carefully I would drive. The dirt roads take their toll!!!
