Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

The mirrors only dim when powered. So if yours is dimming all the time I suspect it's gone bad, maybe the electrochromic fluid has leaked. Unfortunately a new dimming side mirror is like $600 (!) for just the glass. A non-dimming one is a lot cheaper if you're willing to give up the functionality. The mirror is just a pressure fit, you can find instructions on how to pop it out without damage if you search. I'd pop it out and unplug it, if it stays dimmed then it's almost certainly bad.
