Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Dear all Anyone out there know how many C4S's we originally built with PCCB's? Apparently mine came with them and I have a document from Reading (albeit not on headed paper) showing that they were ordered with the car. In the 911 & Porsche World buyers guide its barely mentioned them (just saying not many were ordered). Just wondering.... Thanks.

POST 2Original post

I would imagine not many as it's still a costly option. I've only ever seen one guy who drives into work (not where I work) in his grey C4S and his has PCCBs. The only cooking 997 I've seen with PCCBs actually. ~ Maxie

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Maxie I thought it was rare. Do you mean the only other one you know of is a 997 or 996?

POST 4Original post

Ah sorry, for some reason I thought this was in the 997 forum...duh! Yes the guy I see on most days has a 997. I have never seen a 996 C4S with PCCBs on. Yours is the first I've heard of in that case. ~ Maxie

Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes A great asset to your middle pedal on track days.... :worship: Ceramic brakes, very resistant to brake fade due to friction coefficients not going out the window as temperature rises! And very light weight in comparison to steel discs. Usually seen with yellow calipers and about £6k as an option.

POST 7Original post

M450 CERAMIC BRAKE (PCCB) is the option code for PCCB does this display in your car/service book which should confirm the original factory order

POST 8Original post

OK, Ta for that ..... 6K :hammer: ... wont be getting them either rather get a new pair of trainers pushing down the middle pedal
