Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Planning on my first weekend trip in my new CS and going up to the Ozarks, I know some sporty roads up thar....that being said I notice that when I plug in my Valentine 1, the power connector keeps working lose and backs out causing the radar detector to lose power. Would it be ok to shim the body with some paper until I get back and can address a better solution? Leaving in about an hour, any help appreciated.

POST 2Original post

As long as you don't cover the metal contacts that might help temporarily, or if you have any rubber O-rings that could fit around the plug might work. When you have a chance, you really ought to look at hard-wiring your detector to the fuse box (easy to do with a long cord and Add-A-Circuit fuse kit ) for a more permanent solution.
