I know its a lot to put down but he's not worried about it so here it goes... $10,000 down for 4 years at $1050 a month 12,ooo miles a year. The car's MSRP is $88,000... They said they are giving us $5000 off. The money factor is .248 with a residual at 50%? I hope that helps, and thanks a lot.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

To me that sounds very high. Someone else might be ablee to offer as more educated opinion. I put 4k total out of pocket and pay 865.00 a month for 4 years. MSRP 73,500
Based on your #'s, the payment should be $894. If you are not getting $5k off MSRP, the payment would be $1010. A 50% residual is horrible, in my opinion. I just spoke to a guy that got a 68% residual on a C4S. Granted it was a 3 year deal , but there is too much of a difference there. A money factor of .248 equates to an interest rate of 5.95%, by the way.
i think the deal stinks. i agree, the 50% residual is not good-this is obviously killing your monthly payment. i do not know what a reasonable residual should be on an 03 in may, but it is likely that leasing an 04 will give you a much better residual. i would look for a better deal.
To put it bluntly, you got hosed. You should be able to get much more off MSRP, a lower money factor and a much higher residual. Back out of that deal and I mean quick. I'll bet if you shop around you can get $8-$9k off list and that residual is way low. -Lou
