What kind(s) of hat do you wear to: 1) keep warm during the winter with top down 2) maximum protection from the sun during the summer I see people with baseball caps, but I think they provide very little protection in either case.
I wear a ball-cap. Not crash-rated so i don't rely on it to give me protection

Make sure you turn your baseball caps around backwards, its better aerodynamics.

Porsche BB cap, white or black depending on how hot it is. I like the Indiana Jones idea! If you turn your BB around backwards, the Porsche police are allowed to take your car away!
The wife bought me this hat for Christmas... thought it was stupid because I'm an "all black hat" kind of guy in the car, seeing as it's triple black. But, the first time I used it I was sold. I don't like the cream colored accents, but this hat is very thin (no head sweat on hot days) and has a bungee cord type of thing in the back so you can put it on and tighten it up good so it won't fly off your head while on the freeway. I highly recommend it for all you fellow boxster owners!

Either a Porsche dealer's cap or my Tilley if it is going to be a long day of top down fun. The Tilley has a leash that keeps it on the head at Boxster highway speeds!
Here is the other hat I wear. The Indiana Jones type hat. I have one in brown and one in deep dark green. The other is a black baseball cap from Porsche

I wear a hat all the time and have the top down most of the time. My daily fedoras in town and a wool English driving cap in cold/cool weather on the highway, or BB cap when warmer. I haven't tried a cowboy hat yet. Does the soft brim of the Tilly flop in the wind? A helmet? Seriously?
Im not so much of a hat fan but I do have a custom made black beenie that has "Boxster" across it.I dont find myself wearing hats too often because of how people in my age group wear them...backwards with the tags and stickers still on them....yes I know
I wear a ball cap. I always wear one with a logo of the car I am NOT driving, ie, when I drive the BMW, I wear a Porsche hat, etc. I like looking confused! :dance:
I wear my Apache Helmet...chicks and Darth Vader fans dig it.

Why would you put a hat on when you're driving a car with the top down? Seems kind of errrrrr.......stupid? If you're worried about the sun, then why put the top down? Unless you're driving for hours, I don't quite get it
I wear a ball cap my stock broker gave me when at speed with the top down or when the sun is in my face. I hate wind blowing my hair worse than I hate Hat Hair. And yes, the bill is aimed down the road.
Is it the 1 year anniversary of this thread's death? Hat? you'll get HAT HEAD!! for protection I have this helmet But it looks kinda of funny driving thru Times Square!
