Seem to have an issue when returned from ash cloud delay and got into the car this morning. When i use the keys/both of them the car opens fine and in i get. Ignition starts and lights as normal but starter motor just clicks when trying to turn over and alarm goes off. Horn beebs twice when it stops, read the book, book says if horn beebs twice then take to Dealer. I'm thinking is it maybe just the battery lost some juice? worth trying jump start or put it on battery charger over night? Anyone with any advice most appreciatted. Mckay

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

does sound like a tired battery. look at the Voltmeter in dash - this should read just over 12V when the ignition is on and should not drop below 10V during cranking. have a look and charge the battery. The battery is a comon subject on this forum and have replace mine recently for about £65 with a 4 yr guarantee.
I can't beleive i stare at the dials every day and i didn't think to look at the volt meter. I'll have a look tonight when i get home. Thanks
no worries! - the battery does seem to discharge its self fairly regualry. A good tip is to open the bonnet so you dont get into a whole lot of trouble if the battery goes flat and you can't easily open it.
Good solution but can you lock it with the bonnet unlatched? I've not tried but I'd be surprised as it's so sensitive to things like the armrest being open etc.
