Just thought Id share my recent story with you - we are a van dealer in Glasgow so we buy vans from many sources - finance companies / banks / leasing companies / auction houses etc etc . In 2005 I had a 996TT that I bought at reasonably handy money - sold I after a few months for a profit and regretted it ever since ....anyway....got wind of a seal grey , 996C4S two weeks ago sitting at auction in Glasgow entered by a finance company . Got on the phone , did some digging and eventually spoke with the previous owner ( nice chap / business been through a very rough time hence the repo ) the day before the sale ........so I knew a lot about the car beforehand . Long story short bought the car . 2003 '53 , 38k miles full svs history . Spotless condition . Car is up on our ramp getting some TLC before it hits the road - when I collected it the car had a broken N/S/F drive shaft (is this common ??) and a rad leak from the O/S/F . Also fitting new pads and discs . Booked in with Porsche Glasgow on Thursday for a service ...and then it'll be ready for the road . Need a good valet but being in the trade part of the charm is putting in the elbow grease and result being a shining immaculate example ( not to mention buying it at trade money !!) Anyway I'll keep you posted - cheers Barry

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

If you dont mind ..How much did you get it for. Bit odd to have a broken drive shaft IMHO unless the repo man broke it?
I've not heard of a broken drive shaft... probably some inept tow-truck operative. Nice car! Makes sure you give the red calipers a good clean-up whilst the wheels are off- they look a treat peeking through the spokes.
