Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, Been a while since my last post so I thought I would update you with the latest Sydney antics! Well, having shipped my beloved blue 996 C4 Cab from London to Sydney about 14 months ago I awoke on Feb 27th to my neighbour knocking on my front door looking horrified. She asked me if I had heard the storms in the evening to which I replied yes, of course. She then asked me if I had been down to the underground garage to which I replied I was about too. Well.... it seems we had a flash flood, 3 1/2 feet of water sat in the garage for 4-6 hours - all 8 cars fully submerged or thereabouts. I was mortified as you can imagine. My baby was fully flooded, the electric windows had all opened (I presume some kind of safety mechanism in case you roll her in a river?) and the inside looked liked it had actually been in a river! In a word - bug*ered! (i would love to show you some pictures of the write-off but they are all too big). So we had to call the insurance (I was absolutley distraught at this point and decided to spend the day at the local pub). However - they towed it on the Monday, it was declared a write-off on the Tuesday and I had a cheque for the full amount the following Tuesday - how's that for service? Now 911's in Australia are ridiculously priced ($300k+ for a new 911 compared to 65k in the UK) so I did some looking around and managed to pick up this baby in Melbourne (I drove her back the next day - 1000kms down 1 very boring road) for a similar price / spec to my old one. Absolutley mint - black 996 Cab with red leather - my favourite combo. Absolutely delighted!!! 18's, immaculate inside and out (almost looks brand new). Of course I could have got a more sensible car - but you can't go backwards - can you ? Fun and games but all seems to have turned out for the goode. Cheers, Dan

One of those bizarre situations but glad to see a happy outcome. Cabs perfectly suited to cruising around the likes of Bondi and Centennial Park
