Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 2Original post

I've seen that before, it's painted paint-to-sample CRACK!

POST 3Original post

I saw it last year when it was in for service at the San Jose dealer. Looks like a surfboard. The other Jeff. <img src="http://www.986host.com/albums/ToolPants/wildpaint2.sized.jpg" alt=" - " />

POST 4Original post

why didn't they complete the car off with some spinners? I think then it will look really "dope"... btw, jeff, nice to a fellow local p-owner. My parent's just live next door from you in atherton. maybe i'll see you sometime!

POST 5Original post

I think most of us have a pic or 2 of a strange car. I've seen that one before... How about this one? <img src="http://www.fototime.com/664FB8756364D3F/standard.jpg" alt=" - " /> <img src="http://www.fototime.com/87E34CCF7B1F1AA/standard.jpg" alt=" - " />

It looks like a 911/964/993 rebody. The shorter wheelbase throws off the look.

POST 8Original post

the worse part is the roofline is too high...i just think it would have been better if it was a regular stock...or if they were trying to make it look like something else, they should have kept it within the old 993 gt2 look. i'll be surprised if someone buys it for more than $25k. This is just as good as a kit car in this condition.

POST 9Original post

If "sweet custom paint job" means appallingly tasteless then I agree with you. For what reason would you need to paint a Porsche like that? It looks like it should be in The Fast and the Furious sequel. A Porsche has plenty of prestige and head turning ability stock, what is this guy fulfilling making his car look like a tow vehicle? Anyway Jeff welcome to the board and even though it does not agree with my taste it's always nice to see something different. I hope you dont think less of us 996 owners because of that car. -Andrew

POST 10Original post

they were all verrry nice cars at one time in their lives, my guess would be closer to the time they left stuttgart.

POST 11Original post

All these cars, as I refuse to call them Porsches are disgusting!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

POST 12Original post

To each their own. I think all the cars in this thread look goofy, but if their owners enjoy them, then more power to them.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
