Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I have a facelift 996 with Sport Design II wheels that are in need of a refurb. Does anyone know of a good reliable person in the Edinburgh area who would make a good job of these? Also does anyone know what a fair cost for doing this is likely to be? They a have gone about the split rim, delaquering, and there is a bit of corrosion on the main bit of one or two of the wheels. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks, Martin.

POST 2Original post

Hi Martin Welcome to the forum, the usual cost for split rims tends to be £100+VAT per wheel. Gary

Martin, Speak with Chris W on this forum or call him on 07885 259571. Could be the best thing you've done today.

Might be worth popping into JRM Coachworks in Roseburn and letting them have a look at your alloys. They did a great job on my hollowspokes last year.

POST 5Original post

I agree with ResB... contact Chris W......... seen his work, excellent, he will be getting my business in the next month or so. he does a great service where he will collect your wheels, fit loan ones, refurb yours and swap them back again all at a very good price. Simon
