Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I discovered a new problem with my passenger side window tonight. It's supposed to drop a 1/4 inch when the door is opened and go back up when it's fully closed. It doesn't do it. It stays up all the time. It has also been making a small "crack" sound at the top of the cycle, which I am not sure about. I searched the threads and know this has been discussed, but I can't find it. Do I need some sort of relay or a regulator? If so, where is it located? Inside the door?

POST 2Original post

Sounds like regulator not relay and yes its inside the door pannel. I can't remember the thread but I think Toolpants posted some pictures of where it is once. I just took mine to the dealer and paid the $300. I'm sure its cheaper if you DIY
