Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Seems to be a few GT4s starting to trickle through again. Wondered what Peoples OPCs are saying regarding Spyder production/allocation as it all seems very quiet?

POST 2Original post

I'm not 100% certain, but I think the Spyder is built on a separate assembly line to the GT4 and may have to compete with 992 production

POST 4Original post

Sypders are built at Stuttgart in the main factory alongside Boxsters, 992s, GT4s etc. There's a separate Cayman plant at Osnabruck which produces the regualr Caymans plus the GT4 too. So there are two places you can get a GT4 built but only one for the Spyder so I agree that will naturally mean fewer are available.

POST 5Original post

I was speaking to “my” OPC earlier this week on an unrelated subject and it was stated that they are very doubtful of obtaining any Spyder allocation this year. Apparently they have only had two since I picked mine up last June and both were PDK

Just had a call that my Spyder allocation has come through - will be a 2023 car. Been a long wait and had pretty much given up hope to be honest, so amazing news. Plan to head in to spec it next week - have done already about 1,000 times online so will be strange to do for real.

Be interested to know what your OPC are saying re continued production etc.

I’d previously been told I was next in line out of I think 6 spyder deposits and I understand they have had only this one allocation to date this year. My current thinking on spec http://www.porsche-code.com/PPYYNEG2

POST 11Original post

My dealer told me today they got two allocations . I am next 👍

POST 12Original post

As of 4 weeks ago I was told I’m next on the list so I’m hoping for some good news if it sounds like a few more slots have been released!

POST 13Original post

My London based dealer got one allocation this round and I am now second on the list...

POST 14Original post

My OPC have said they have been told they will not be getting any more GT4 or Spyder allocations.

So today I spent the morning at Silverstone driving the car… and I get home to an email with the news of a build slot in Q3!! Hoping it can be a pts slot now!

My current thinking on spec http://www.porsche-code.com/PPYYNEG2 Thats a good spec. Apart from , imo , the yellow stitch. Go for silver stitch i would say. Yellow looks out of place to my eyes.

finmac said: Great result. Be interested to know what your OPC are saying re continued production etc. Went in today to lock in my spec - mine is showing as vehicle completion in early September and with UK dealership in early October. As expected no info from Porsche on further allocations or how long production will continue, but also no confirmation that production is ending. So advice seems to be, if you have a deposit down, to keep waiting and hope it comes through.

Was 99% sure I wanted red stitching having not had yellow anything in my life, but saw yellow and loved it! Shocked me actually as I’m not easily swayed once I ‘know’ what I want. DM me if you want some pictures. Edited by 981SPYGANG on Wednesday 18th May 21:35

Probably too late, yes. However, if you don't buy a ticket you won't win the raffle, and you just never know what may happen^! ^ It cannot really hurt, so why not try!

POST 33Original post

Just had an email through re Porsche production process, with mine showing as now scheduled for production. Any others had the same or better?

POST 34Original post

What was the anticipated build date when you got the allocation and what is it now ? I got my allocation first week in June and was told November build but haven’t had any update . Dealer has my final spec .

POST 35Original post

Is anyone hearing anything about how many of these are currently coming through for allocation? It feels like they have dried up completely. Guesses on 2023 production number anyone?

Now showing as October build for early November delivery. Hopefully yours won’t be far behind.

POST 37Original post

Not direct comparison but I am being offered a late 2024 delivery slot on a PTS 992 Targa C4S - two years on a regular production car!

POST 38Original post

My spyder arrived last week after confirming spec back in February. Was due in April originally then went to early July which ended up being very late July and with delivery to dealer etc, I just waited for the 72 reg then. Feels different enough from the boxster 25 to feel like something new if you get what I mean with it sharing an awful lot of components and obviously looks a reasonable amount different going by people's feedback so far (there's pics of both on Instagram for those interested instead of me spamming here!).
