Hi Folks, Quick and boring question: Does anyone know if the silver air intake trim on this car is an optional extra or an after market addition. Not sure I like it but I'm guessing it is not hard ot too expensive to get black replacements.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I notice the front grills have had the same treatment. Probably aftermarket. I personally would remove and repaint them myself as OE replacements won't be cheap.
It was an option from Porsche. Don't have my soft copy of the 987 Tequipment brochures handy, but fairly sure it was in there. Looks particularly horrid on Speed Yellow cars.

God, its far from ideal on a black car but on Speed Yellow example it must be positively nausea inducing! Anyway thanks for the info guys. Was just trying to establish if this car is as it left the factory or if the previous owner liked to "tinker" so to speak. Cheers TD
