Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, Does any know any shops in Australia (Sydney preferred) who can rebuild a 944S2 transaxle, I've spoken to Bruce at Buchanans, he couldn't give me an idea of how much it will cost, I'd love to get him to do it and I'm sure it will be first rate, but I don't have a blank cheque book. I will remove the transmission and can  ship interstate Any recommendations appreciated thanks Steve

POST 2Original post

Try Autowerks on the Central Coast. Simon there has recently rebuilt 3 x 924 Turbo gearboxes (including mine) and whilst I realise they are not the same as a 944, they are at least in the ballpark.

POST 3Original post

+1 for Autowerks. I was one of the 3 x 924 Turbos that had a gearbox rebuild.

Hi Steve, Sorry we can't give you a quote on this one as we have no idea what is wrong with it or associated wear/ damage we see once its opened up. I can tell you though we would be the cheapest at these rebuilds as I do on average about 10 per year. Almost all the parts we keep in stock. Regards Sean Buchanan
