Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

First noticed this on the Suncoast website: http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/gthead.html The standard 996 key looks a bit naff. So I've ordered the Carrera GT key head from my OPC. You can either now get it programmed to your car and pop in a new blade or just swap over the innards and blade from one of your original keys. Should be a definite improvement over the rather cheap looking standard item.

POST 2Original post

There is a 911 version of that that looks pretty good.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, pretty much the same key but slightly different finish. The "GT" option kind of works for my GT2.

Just for info, the US key and the UK key operate on different frequencies (Just in case anyone is thinking of ordering from Suncoast). It's fine if you're transferring your internals but obviously not so good if you're programming a new key.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
