Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I put my Boxster in for its MOT this morning and it passed with flying colours however when I went to pick it up both of these lights were on and it wouldn't start. The garage gave me a jump start and it started straight away, I went in to pay and when I came it out it wouldn't start again. I didn't have any issues with it before it went in - could they have done something unintentionally whilst MOTing it? Am I looking at a fortune if its the alternator?

POST 2Original post

I'm wondering if they just flattened the battery while doing the MOT. It could be that the battery was/is on it's way out. Get it home and give it a full charge and see what happens. You could always get the battery tested.
