As to what motor, when its being released and what the price is? I would guess $49k, 3.2 l from boxster and august 06. What does everyone think? I wonder if it will be the same cost as the z4 M coupe. I really cant decide between the two cars. The fact that the cayman does not have a Limited slip diff really gets to me. Its almost like they had to limit its potential otherwise it woudl be better than the 911.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Nothing new or firm to report I believe. Most think it will be a year from now before we see it. Itcould be around the $50K range with a 3.0 producing around 260HP, but with it's status of being the 'middle' guy in the lineup.......it may show up with the 3.2 from the Boxster S and a base price equal to it or slighly more. You never know......look at the zinger Porsche gave us with the Cayman when a lot of us were originally thinkinga less expensive Boxster coupe was going to be offered.
The UK press have said it will be a 3.0 (could be speculation), but not stated the price. I imagine it will be priced between the Boxter and S. Bascially gives you a choice of open top vs more power with fixed top.
i hope its anything but the 2.7l motor. Its a bit slow. I hope they keep the price around 50k and not more.
Does anyone think its worth ordering a Base one now? I doubt the dealer's have order sheets.
At this point in time I would just wait and watch. I very seriously doubt dealers have any info on a base model yet.
ok - but ill be calling the dealers every couple of weeks.
