Thought I'd sign up and say hello as I bought a 996 Carrera 2 on Wednesday. I've had Lotus Elises for the last few years, but decided it was time to get something a bit more practical - and hopefully reliable! My car is a 2003 facelift, manual, coupe in Basalt Black with black leather. I'm really impressed with it so far and the PSE exhaust note is amazing. Can't wait to drive it some more over the weekend! James.

Thanks all. Spy, just saw your post about looking for a car. I spent a frustrating couple of weeks looking for one as they were selling very shortly after the advert appeared. In the end I set up a "saved search" on Autotrader, where it emails you when cars matching your search are listed. By doing this, I found my car within a couple of days and took an afternoon off work to view it. I'd missed out on another by waiting until Saturday morning to view it.
Thanks James. Interestingly I have found the same - you have to be very quick to get the good cars, so much for the so called recession ! Thanks for the tip - interestingly I have a search setup on AT but for some reason it emailed me the first few days and then stopped ! In any case, fingers crossed, I may have found a car. I hav had my local OPC keeping their eye out for one and they believe they have one which I hope to see later this week.
