Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I'm wondering if anyone has disassembled the windshield's rear view mirror. I am ordering a detector and in most of my other cars, the power can be tapped right from the mirror's power source or dome light. I don't see a power module plugged in the back, and presume it's in the roof, and dropping down. Has anyone tried to power anything in a CS?

POST 2Original post

There have been a few that have done that. I don't remember if they are in the articles sections are just threads but they had photos of the procedure. Try searching the articles and the forums to see if you can find them. Actually they are not that easy to find ( I was looking for you) but this is interesting: http://www.planet-9.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=47

Unless its a different design than the Boxster, I dont think the power comes from the roof (for obvious reasons ) ________________________ "Sir! We're surrounded!" - "Excellent! We can shoot in any direction!" A good car will get you from point A to point B. A great car... will just get you into trouble!
