Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If my 02 C2 996 engine fails due to Rear Seal leakage or catastrophic failure due to liner slipage, Can I get an X-50 upgrade if I pay the difference???? That would ALMOST be worth the trouble. I'm not sure they even offered it as an option when I got my car. I can't remember! But what an optiion!! Yeah..... I'd opt for that as part of a solution if it happens to me!

POST 2Original post

OH NO! You're not starting it up again, Stemm? Maybe tongue in cheek? OK. If the RMS fails twice, you get a new engine. Why not an X51 engine and pay the diff in price? Hey, that actually makes sense! X51 is just an engine upgrade, right? But, you'd still have to pay the diff in price, and I guess that's where the old argument of whether it's worth the money or not applies.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I guess I wanted to say X-51, but got it wrong. Would they care as long as they were putting in a new motor if you got a really good upgrade?? Besides, who wants to ask any question on a thread that is 5 pages long?????

POST 4Original post

I could not resist but I came back to the board and the bad engine thread is gone! It's like it never happened and this thread is the only remnant that that battle actually existed. Too bad it turned so acromonious and the point of the whole thing got lost in name calling. I like this board and hope we don't get so bent out of shape. Happy motoring!

POST 5Original post

aaawwwww it's gone. I was looking forward to reading more of that guy's moronic rants. <img src="graemlins/sleep.gif" border="0" alt="[sleep]" />

POST 6Original post

I echo Wilam's comments. I learned a lot from the folks @ this Board & treasure it. Hope the quality of the dialogue will be sustained.
