Hi, Just got back into 911 ownership - previously owned a 1983 SC Coupe and 1987 3.2 Coupe. About a month ago I bought a 996 C2 Coupe, year 2000, 1 owner from new, with a full OPC service history. Just had it serviced at OPC Bristol and they mentioned that both chain tensioners are leaking. The cost for fixing them is not massive, so was wondering how important this leak is. Can the job be done by a competent mechanic/DIYer? Thanks

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.
