Yes no problems there are loads of kits available (just look on ebay). There have been lots of threads on here with fitting pix. Just search xenon retrofit on the forum
Have you considered fitting the OEM Litronics? If it's 996.1 3.4 pre-facelift it's plug and play. If it's 996.2 3.6 post-facelift it's doable with a cable splice. Sell old units on eBay. My price to change was only about £300 for brand new units. Details in 996.2 here, particularly page 3 - see links on thread. http://www.911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=53002
I hadnt considered fitting OEM Litronics, as i assumed theyd be way too expensive, but like you say if i can sell mine then makes them a bargain ! mines a 2001 C4 Cabrio couldnt find the "Details in 996.2 here, particularly page 3 - see links on thread" might just be tired can you point me in the direction please :worship: thanks
Be aware that Xenon conversion kits (from as little as £40) are illegal. By law, only units with cleaning and self-levelling systems will pass an MOT if your tester knows his stuff. :cop: The Litronic's are OK.

HI GT4, im considering the OEM Litronics, can I ask where you purchased for 300 squid ? Im guessing that price included you selling your std lights, which i would also do.. I would go for the HID kits but with the std light layout and reflector im afraid it will throw the light all over the place. thanks
And that is why they are dangerous and hence illegal! Just to clarify BigAndy996's comments: The fitment of levellers/washer is a red herring to the legality (or not) of HIDs. The auto-levelling and washers are irrelevant. If they are fitted, they must work. If not fitted, not assessed. Like rear wipers. The reason aftermarket HIDs are illegal is that the parabolic reflector built with the focal point of the glowing incandescent element (halogen bulb) is not appropriate for HID bulbs. They should have purpose designed/manufactured housings and ideally projector lenses. Because of this rule, swaping out entire OEM xenon (Litronic) unit ("e-marked") will be MOT legal, irrespective of the fact the vehicle has auto-levellers and/or washers or not.* The static beam pattern is all that matters. *Technically type-approval will not now be given to a manufacturer without standard fitment of levellers and washers. However, previous models (pre-2006) are not required to have washers and levellers as the law is not retrospective. Like seatbelts and indicators (trafficators) etc. Older cars are not tested on these. Pre-2006 are not tested for ABSENCE of washers or levellers. However, post-2006 standard production vehicle will not have passed type-approval ("e-marked") without development design and final production models including standard washers and levellers.
I bought my 996.1 (pre-facelft) OEM xenons for £615 about 15 months ago. I bought them new from a company called Forest Fine (Porsche parts importer), based in West Sussex. Sadly, they did survive the recession, going out of business a few months ago this spring. Note several factors that affect the price to change: Pre-facelift 996.1s share their design with the Boxster. This allows both economies of scale and the lower Boxster based price-point to advantage the 911 owner. The 996.1 Litronics are mono-xenon (the dipped beam is continous xenon, the high beam assistance is halogen). This makes them cheaper to make than the bi-xenon post-facelift 996.2's design. The 996.1 pre-facelift design had an early version with true "fried-egg" orange indicators and corner infills. These continued for a few more model years on the Boxster. Because of this there is a large market (although as they get converted, growing smaller) wanting the later clear/smoked indicators/corner infil, halogen units. These were the units fitted to mine before Litronics. The market for initial 996.1 amber "fried-egg" is smaller than clear/smoked, only being for accident replacement etc when the owner does not realise or want the possible more modern looking later design. (as far as I am aware no one has reverted a Litronic or clear/smoked unit to "fried-egg"!) Because of this I sold my clear/smoked halogen units on eBay for £300+ to an early Boxster owner who was looking to upgrade to clears/smoked.
