Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • PistonHeads: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My battery is on its way out, I have noticed the fixing bracket has 2 locations, is it possible to install a larger battery than the 80 ah currently installed. I assume a larger ah battery will give me longer duration between starts before going flat.

POST 2Original post

Simple answer is "yes" I have one of these fitted to my 996TT http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bosch-S5-Car-Battery-Typ... Works a treat. Beware of the Porsche warranty 'issue' around batteries though which has been well discussed here
