Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/thumbsup.gifOf all the awesome features on my new Cayman, the one item I was most surprised with was the sport shifter. The throws are so much shorter and precise conpaired w/ the standard linkage. I don't understand why it's not made this way as a standard factory feature. Worth every cent.../fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/drive.gif

POST 2Original post

jpcayman, I am much relieved. It's one of my options and I’ve been afraid it will increase shifting effort and notchiness enough to offset the value of the short throw. Does this mean you have taken delivery of your car? I thought no sales were allowed until after the Jan. 14 introduction?

POST 3Original post

I just drove it today. I could have taken it home, but I have not transfered funds yet for the purchase- I wasn't expecting it till the 14th.

POST 4Original post

since its factory fitted- its worth it. I agree should come standard. but why woudl porsche pass up a chance to offer another costly accessory.

POST 5Original post

Glad to hear the great report. I was wondering if it would be worth the money or not....sounds like I made the best choice and got it!!

POST 6Original post

This was an option that I was on the fence about. My salesman told me it was very easy to get it installed after delivery, and suggested I try it without, and later when I have a chance to drive one with, I can decide. Well, listening to a lot of comments on this site, it looks like something I will be adding.
