Anyone have the gear ratios and final drive for the PDK gearbox? Yes I've searched Planet Porsche and FAQ and Google, no luck.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I thought I saw them as part of the technical specs somewhere along the line on the Porsche Web site. Although that might have been for the 911s . Might be worth a look around there.
I have googled and otherwise searched extensively for the PDK gear ratios without success. Tried all Porsche models. Have not been able to find the 6-spd gear ratios for the Cayman Gen2 models either. Presumably the Gen2 owner’s manual will have the data, but mine is a Gen1 model.
Car June 2009 PDK Boxster 1 3.91 2 2.29 3 1.65 4 1.30 5 1.08 6 0.88 7 0.62 FD 3.72 R 3.56 Carrera S have same ratios but FD of 3.44 (Jan 09) There are PDF roadtest you can download from their website Carmagazine.co.za
I've searched and found two other final drives, 3.25 and 2.62. Yours makes three. 2.62 has to be wrong. I wish I knew which one to believe.
Could their be more than one FD ? ie there are 2 gearboxes and 2 clutches
I Googled "final drive ratios PDK " again and came to the following conclusion: the 1-7 PDK ratios for the 987 and 997 is similar but the final drive (ratio) has been reduced (to make the 987 accelerate slower) from 3.44 to 3.25 for the 987S. The 987 non S however has a higher final drive ratio of 3.62 (to increase acceleration). This would explain why the 3.8 PDK feels so much stronger than the 3.4 PDK and why the 2.9 PDK feels so similar to the 3.4 PDK Here are the ratios from Top Speed for the 987.2S Manual Pdk 1St 3.67 3.91 2Nd 2.05 2.29 3Rd 1.41 1.65 4Th 1.13 1.30 5Th 0.97 1.08 6Th 0.84 0.88 7Th – 0.62 Reverse 3.33 3.55 Final Drive Ratio: 3.88 3.25
Actually a 3.44 FD ratio is LOWER than a 3.25 ratio. The way to keep higher and lower straight, since the concept is backwards from the numerical values, is to think of top speed. Generally , top speed will be higher with a 3.25 than with a 3.44, so the 3.25 is a higher ratio. Another way I think of it is that the 3.25 ratio is 'taller'.
the ratio is lower but the final drive is higher ie weaker gear ie slower acceleration with higher top speed (987 S PDK v 997S PDK ) the ratio is higher but the final drive is lower ie stronger gears with better acceleration but lower top speed ( 987 PDK v 987S PDK ) Here are the gear ratios from the 987.1 Manual (source FAQ) GEAR RATIO MAX SPEED (@ 7,000 RPM) 1 3.31 42 mph 2 1.95 72 mph 3 1.41 100 mph 4 1.13 125 mph 5 .97 145 mph 6 .82 171 mph If the Top Speed ratios for the 987.2 Manual is correct, then the weaker 1st and 2nd gears of the 987.1 has been addressed in the 987.2 but the PDK S has been held back with a weaker final drive

I’m wondering if we could swap the lower final drive ratio with the higher one on the PDK to get even sharper acceleration?
