Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi I am having to refurb my turbos due to rusted actuators etc. I am thinking of upgrading them and have heard of the following.. K16/16g Can anyone tell me what this consists of and who can do the upgrade in the UK. Regards Tim

POST 2Original post

k16/16g is a fine selection. thinking about the same. one or two indies around who know what they are doing, but chose with great care. you need a 5bar fuel pressue reg with that, a better air filter (bmc?) and ideally bigger intercoolers to reduce heat (and so the DMU does not pull timing too easily), oh and a free flowing exhaust and remap. then you are at about 500+ wbhp on 99 ron fuel.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Speedbird A re-map will get 470ish bhp thought with those mods would be a bit over 500. Cheers Tim

POST 4Original post

the "16g" hybrid and 5bar fpr gives a fair bit extra as i understand it.....(have no facts to back it up though)... standard non x50 = 420 remap say + 60 exhaust + 10-15 16g hybrid compressor and 5 bar fpr + another 50 to max 100 (i think).
