Am I right in thinking it is 0.8 bar? My DMS holds 0.9 - does this sound right?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have seen 1.1bar, and as far as I am aware the X50 has not been remapped.
Hmmm, could be the hot weather I guess.
Yes, it was a cold morning when I got that figure, As I understand air temp does play a part and cooler the better.
Just gave it the beans in 5th and it hit 1.1bar in the hot air so I guess that's about right. Shame about the speed I was doing afterwards really
My X50 was mapped by the previous owner and it hits 1.1 all the time, BUT I have seen it goes as high as 1.3
1.1bar is not normal for an X50. Thats a remapped car's boost level.
Confirmed. Mike at DMS says a standard X50 is 0.8 bar - a remap gives 1.0-1.1. Watch that wastegate spindle...

Hmmm interesting I will have a chat with the dealer as the car is still under warranty, however if it was related to the wastegate I would expect it to be consistent, which it is not? I have only seen 1.1 on a few occasions if remapped I would also expect to see this more frequently which again I do not? I was informed by another X50 owner I know personally that they see 0.9 frequently with ocassional spikes upto 1.1 and he has owned the car from new and unless he is not telling me the truth states his has not been remapped :dont know: However looking over at 6speedonline, the guys report that 0.9 is stock on the X50 with no mods, so I guess it may have been remapped!
[ quote = " d5bad "] [ quote = " ZeroH "] [ quote = " Niall McMahon "] Confirmed. Mike at DMS says a standard X50 is 0.8 bar - a remap gives 1.0-1.1 . Watch that spindle -gate ...[/ quote X50 will do 0.9bar , 0.8bar albeit will be seen more regularly. Remap ' s generally go up to 1.3bar , albeit you should have a 5 bar installed if you want to go that high as the car will be out of injector otherwise. [/ quote]. Hi ZeroH .... what do you mean a 5 bar installed? [ / quote ] Fuel Pressure Regulator. Stock is 3.8bar and needs upgrading. Even better to keep the 3.8 and just upgrade the injectors , but a bigger job, and the 5 bar works ok , albeit without the control that will give larger injectors , so thats what most people do.
Hi, Is there anyway of checking to see if the previous owner has carried this out? I just cant get hold of him. Is it an easy job to increase the fuel pressure from the standrard 3.8 to around 5? If its an easy fix I might get it done at the sametime I get a new oil pressure regulator fitted.
