Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The long awaited exhaust. The guy before me had this done, ive done alot of research into tracking down the name of the exhaust, but i can't find anything. I know its not stock. :floor: The video below doesn't do it justice believe me. It is like a motorbike and has the most amazing roar in every single gear. It's fantastic! Ill get a better video soon of how it should sound. First is 2nd rolling Second: 1sta nd 2nd gear http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1rqK2YG93Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0c89QHtRQSU

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The most i can find out is that its a Stainless steel(Titanium??) Straight through exhaust. A few websites claim 35 BHP extra gain, while others say more or a little less. The two pipes go foward and connect to what looks like a GT3 headers.

POST 4Original post

Sounds like stainless steel headers with maybe an aftermarket exhaust (oettle??). The higher pitched noise certainly sounds like the difference in sound I got when I put my stainless headers on. Can't wait to fit my fabspeed x-pipe!!!!!!!!!!!!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, make sure you post a vid when you get that done =) sounds great. My exhaust is super loud its just a pleasure to drive. What is the HP gain for striaght through stainless steel exaust ? Also, can someone post a pic if possible of a stock carrera 2 996 exhaust, so i can take a look at the headers. cheers lads
